Interviews from 50 Years Ago
Between 1972 and 1973, the Pontiac Historical Society conducted interviews with dozens of local residents from Shawville, Clarendon, and Thorne. These interviews, originally recorded on cassette tapes, were digitized by Robert Willis in 2011. Many of the interviewees were born in the 1880s and 1890s, making these recordings a valuable oral history of the Pontiac, preserved through stories and songs for you to hear.
