The purpose of the Bristol Quebec Historical Society (BQHS) is to foster an appreciation for the history and heritage of the Municipality of Bristol.
The group provides a forum for like-minded individuals to participate on projects and committees that keeps our rich history alive. We meet weekly during the summer months, and our membership is open to all with an interest in the history of the area.
Since 1995 we have maintained collection of news clippings and photos, historical and current, of the area’s landmarks and events. We also encourage residents to open a binder to record the history of their homes, farms, and cottages. Our collection is generously housed at the Municipality of Bristol Office.
