400th anniversary of Samuel de Champlain’s 1613 landing at Desjardinsville

The largest flotilla of boats, kayaks and canoes ever assembled on the Upper Ottawa River between I’Isle-Aux-Allumettes and Pembroke will be take place on Sunday, June 16, 2013. Launching for free will take place from Fort William and Desjardinsville on the Quebec side and from Pembroke Marina and Petawawa Point on the Ontario side. A family picnic will be held at the Desjardinsville marina from 11 am to 7 pm. Boats must pre-register.
